It's actually a slightly more complex story than that, but seven years later we tied the knot as our good friend presided over the wedding. During the ceremony, he slipped up and called us "ChAlli," and it stuck. We headed off to Europe for our honeymoon, and we decided to log that trip as a way to remember our adventures. Over the years, we recorded more of our trips. [The Grand Canyon](http://v2.travelark.org/travel-blog/the_stamms/2) ([twice](http://v2.travelark.org/travel-blog/the_stamms/11)). Now, we're [bringing back the blog](https://challi.blog/challi-in-lisbon) as we try out the expat, remote work, digital nomad lifestyle in the magical city of Lisbon, Portugal. ## ChAlli ***Remote Writer & Trolly Car Driver*** If Covid taught us anything, it's that we should go places when we can because you never know when you can't. It also taught us that we can work from anywhere. While Chad will enjoy an inverted schedule as a digital nomad, Alli plans to attend trolly car driving school, where the goal is to keep everything on track. ![ChAlli Bio](https://challi.blog/hubfs/ChAlli%20Bio.jpeg) ## Sebastian ***Pastel de Nata Aficionado*** How many egg custard tarts can you eat in one day? Ask Sebastian in a year, and he'll give you the record. In the meantime, he can be found roaming the halls of the British School Lisbon, where he looks an awful lot like one Harry Potter. ![Sebastian Stamm](https://challi.blog/hubfs/Sebastian%20Stamm.jpeg) ## Cody ***Portugal Doggy*** After a brief stop at the pet hotel in Frankfurt, Cody made it safely to shores of Portugal. He's most looking forward to the *frango piri piri* and subsequent shits on the *calçada portuguesa*, which is the name for the tiled sidewalks here in Portugal. ![Cody MacDougal](https://challi.blog/hubfs/Cody%20MacDougal.jpeg) ## ![Quote-icon](https://f.hubspotusercontent20.net/hubfs/2659978/Quote-icon.png) ## “If I'm an advocate for anything, it's to move. As far as you can, as much as you can. Across the ocean, or simply across the river. The extent to which you can walk in someone else's shoes or at least eat their food, it's a plus for everybody. Open your mind, get up off the couch, move.” **-- Anthony Bourdain** - ![ChAlli in Boulder](https://challi.blog/hs-fs/hubfs/41505246_10155386563580793_2178367671198810112_n.jpg?width=959&height=956&name=41505246_10155386563580793_2178367671198810112_n.jpg) ChAlli in Boulder - ![ChAlli in Paris](https://challi.blog/hs-fs/hubfs/169805_489979380792_3965111_o.jpg?width=1536&height=2048&name=169805_489979380792_3965111_o.jpg) ChAlli in Paris - ![ChAlli in Mexico](https://challi.blog/hs-fs/hubfs/12871460_10153288322895793_3624795669785648251_n.jpg?width=960&height=960&name=12871460_10153288322895793_3624795669785648251_n.jpg) ChAlli in Mexico - ![ChAlli in the Algarve](https://challi.blog/hs-fs/hubfs/131591_489978065792_3146371_o.jpg?width=1536&height=2048&name=131591_489978065792_3146371_o.jpg) ChAlli in the Algarve - ![ChAlli in Shanghai](https://challi.blog/hs-fs/hubfs/10455048_10152193025850793_6763540946135927101_n.jpg?width=960&height=664&name=10455048_10152193025850793_6763540946135927101_n.jpg) ChAlli in Shanghai - ![ChAlli in Key West](https://challi.blog/hs-fs/hubfs/206055_10150256435955793_7426327_n.jpg?width=539&height=719&name=206055_10150256435955793_7426327_n.jpg) ChAlli in Key West - ![ChAlli in Verona](https://challi.blog/hs-fs/hubfs/1923531_21307045792_1612_n.jpg?width=604&height=453&name=1923531_21307045792_1612_n.jpg) ChAlli in Verona - ![ChAlli in Lisboa](https://challi.blog/hs-fs/hubfs/IMG_7804.jpeg?width=4032&height=3024&name=IMG_7804.jpeg) ChAlli in Lisboa - ![ChAlli in Gainesville](https://challi.blog/hs-fs/hubfs/IMG_0530.jpg?width=1600&height=1200&name=IMG_0530.jpg) ChAlli in Gainesville - - [mailto:eurochalli@gmail.com](mailto:eurochalli@gmail.com) Praça Ilha do Faial n.º 3,RC ESQ 1000-168 Lisboa © 2026 Company Name.
